BPH

BPH (Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia) is a condition that causes the prostate to be enlarged, but it is not cancer. 80 percent of men develop BPH (Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia), with another 50 percent of men developing the condition by the age of 50. 

For men with BPH (Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia), the enlarged prostate puts pressure on the urethra and bladder. That will begin to weaken and irritate the bladder, this, in turn, cause the following conditions:

  • Frequent urinating
  • Urgency to urinate
  • Weak stream
  • Hesitancy
  • Straining to Urinate
  • Feeling of incomplete bladder emptying
  • Excessive urination at night (nocturia)

If left untreated, BPH (Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia) can lead to:

  • Incontinence
  • Kidney stones
  • Bladder damage and infection
