How can you treat UTI Symptoms yourself?
We’ve already discussed the most common UTI symptoms, but what can you do about it?
Drink lots of water
Drink plenty of water can helps keep your urine diluted and make urination less painful. Keep your body hydrated; it enables you to urinate more often so you can remove bacteria in your bladder. But it will not cure a UTI once you have it.
Avoid irritating beverages
Drinking water is excellent but caffeinated and alcoholic drink is not good. Beverages like coffee, tea, and alcohol have caffeine that can build up in the urine, and it could make urinating even more painful if you are suffering from UTI.
Try a heating pad
It might be time to get some old-fashioned heating pad your grandmother gave you. A low level of heat can help to ease the pain and cramps you feel. Also, it will not cure a UTI.
Try over-the-counter pain medications
Many women search for over-the-counter (OTC) UTI treatment, some medications can help relieve your symptoms, but they can’t cure a UTI.
Acetaminophen (Tylenol) or ibuprofen (Motrin) are OTC pain relievers that help ease your pain and discomfort of UTIs. Phenazopyridine is also a pain reliever that could help relieve uncomfortable UTI symptoms. But don’t take any medications without consulting your doctors. Also, these can provide relief from pain, but if you need a permanent solution, you need to discuss it with an experienced and qualified expert.
